The Journey

Culture is the game

The challenges come from Yoruba and wider African heritage. We bring in real practitioners, such as a working trader, a drummer and an elder, so the culture on screen is lived, not styled.

A medic is on site for every test. Medical staff can stop any contestant at any time, and a medical stop is never shown as folding. Water is always available. In the host’s words: “Water is water. Rest is rest.”
